The Roppongi - tower (231 m high) located in the area sharing the same
name is a "vertical city" completed in 2003.
It isn't stingy with superlatives. On the 52nd floor is a lookout platform
and on the 53rd an art-museum displaying Japanese
and international artists. Furthermore, there are numerous clubs, bars,
conference-centres, schools, cafes and restaurants.
The tower stands on a hill that is perforated like a Swiss cheese with
lines of traffic, elevators,
artificial gardens, park-decks and moving walkways |
